On July 23, 2026, the Uzbekistan District Court of the Fergana Region, under the chairmanship of Judge M. Maraximov, examined a criminal case in an open judicial session conducted via video-conferencing technology. The defendant was initially placed under a preventive measure of a “written pledge of good conduct”. This measure was subsequently revoked and substituted with “remand in custody” (pre-trial detention) via a court order dated June 17, 2026. The defendant received a copy of the final indictment on June 9, 2026.
The defendant had a prior conviction dated May 31, 2024, issued by the Beshariq District Court under Article 113, Part 4 of the Criminal Code, resulting in a 5-year sentence of imprisonment with a 2-year operational probation period. On April 10, 2026, the Beshariq District Court issued an order formally canceling the conditional/probationary nature of that prior sentence due to ongoing non-compliance, rendering the unserved prison terms active.
The court found the defendant guilty of all charges under Article 113, Part 4 and Article 25, Article 113, Part 4 of the Criminal Code. In determining the sentence, the court noted the absence of aggravating circumstances under Article 56 and recognized mitigating factors under Article 55, including the defendant’s expressed remorse and her status as the sole provider for two minor children.
The final definitive sentence was established at 5 years and 2 months of imprisonment.
