He is accused of punching his caseworker and attacking two police officers, spitting on one of them while knowing he has an infectious disease.

CANTON A northeast Canton man diagnosed with HIV is accused of spitting on a police officer and kicking another after punching his caseworker at the police department lobby Wednesday afternoon.

X, 31, was arrested at 4 p.m. at the Canton Police Department after the incident.

According to Stark County Jail records, he was in the lobby when he pushed and punched his caseworker. He pulled away from officers as they tried to arrest him.

He remained behind bars on Thursday, held in lieu of $52,000 bond pending a Canton Municipal Court hearing.
