Women denounce security guard for infecting them with HIV in Brazil
The man remains in pre-trial detention and is charged with grievous bodily harm.
Police in Goiás, Brazil, arrested a 38-year-old security guard, on Monday (21) after a total of six women accused him of deliberately infecting them with the HIV virus.
According to reports, in addition to the women who had already sought the police, today (23) three new victims filed their complaints.
So far, three of them have already been diagnosed positive, three are waiting for their test results and there is no information on the three who have only recently come forward with their stories.
The story of X and his relationship with women
According to the Brazilian portal Metro World News, in 2019 X received his positive diagnosis, but he did not share the information with the women he had sex with and did not use any condoms.
To the police, the man denied the information and said he received the diagnosis at the beginning of this month, however one of his former girlfriends said she had warned him about the disease last year.
Following intense rumours in the city, one of the women took the test and with the positive result sought out the officers.
In turn, the police added that they believe that in the coming days new stories from other women, in addition to the nine who filed their complaints, will possibly come to light.
In an interview, the officer responsible for the case explained that X will continue to be remanded in custody and is being charged with grievous bodily harm.

La policía de Goiás, en Brasil, detuvo el lunes (21) a un guardia de seguridad de 38 años, después que un total de 6 de mujeres le acusaron de haberlas infectado deliberadamente con el virus VIH.
Según informaciones, además de las mujeres que ya habían buscado a la policía, hoy (23) tres nuevas víctimas realizaron sus denuncias.
Hasta el momento, 3 de ellas ya obtuvieron su diagnóstico positivo, 3 esperan el resultado del examen y no hay datos de las tres que recién se conocieron sus historias.
La historia de X y su relación con las mujeres
Según explica el portal brasileño Metro World News, el 2019 X recibió su diagnóstico positivo, pero no compartía la información con las mujeres con quien tenía sexo y no usaba ningún preservativo.
A la policía, el hombre negó la información y dijo que recibió el diagnóstico el comienzo de este mes, sin embargo una de sus antiguas novias dijo que le había advertido con relación a la enfermedad el año pasado.
Tras los rumores intensos en la ciudad, una de las mujeres hizo la prueba y con el resultado positivo buscó a los oficiales.
Por su vez, la policía añadió que cree que en los próximos días se harán conocer posiblemente nuevas historias de otras mujeres, además de las 9 que presentaron sus denuncias.
En entrevista, el oficial responsable por el caso explicó que X seguirá en prisión preventiva y que está siendo acusado de lesiones corporales muy graves.
