A man told police in Nashville that he had HIV and hepatitis as he spit inside their car following his arrest Thursday night amid the activity around CMA fest.

Police were originally contacted after people on Lower Broadway reported that X was following them, according to police records.

X, 51, faces multiple charges including HIV — criminal exposure to another, according to an arrest document.

The affidavit states that police were called to Broadway because of allegations X was “following people” on Broadway, the arrest report states.

Police determined X was “a danger to himself and others,” and the arrest report states he smelled of alcohol, had slurred speech and was unsteady on his feet.

About .5 grams of cocaine was found on Johnson as well, the report states.

After X was arrested, he allegedly began spitting inside the police vehicle, stated he had HIV and Hepatitis and proceeded to spit again, according to the affidavit.
