Woman With AIDS Bites Police Officer

A woman from Memphis, Tennessee, was arrested for biting a police officer and exposing him to HIV.

WMC reported that X was pulled over for an expired license plate and a suspended license. X was unable to provide proof of insurance and was arrested.

While searching her car, police found marijuana, crack and cocaine. In the patrol car, X began complaining that she had to use the bathroom. Officers told her she could go later, and she became angry and tried to escape.

One of the officers then tackled X to the ground, prompting her to swing her keys at him and bite him on the arm — drawing blood. A police affidavit stated that X “had her keys between her fingers and was swinging at the officer.”

X, The Commercial Appeal reported, refused treatment but was taken to a nearby hospital anyway. While at the hospital, she told doctors that she had AIDS. The injured officer was also treated at the hospital for his injuries.

The officer was later released, WREG reported. His condition was not disclosed.

X was charged with violation of vehicle registration law, violation of financial law, resisting official detention, driving while license suspended/revoked, criminal exposure to HIV, aggravated assault, possession of a controlled substance and possession of cocaine with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver.

She was jailed on $50,000 bond and is due in court Aug. 11.

In a similar incident, a woman who was arrested in 2015 for not disclosing her HIV-positive status to her sexual partner was again arrested for prostitution while knowingly HIV positive.

Y, a 28-year-old Louisville, Kentucky, resident, was busted after she approached an undercover police officer and agreed to perform a sexual act on him for $19. She was arrested during an undercover investigation into human trafficking, WAVE reported.

X, 38, who was pulled over for driving with expired license plates, allegedly bit the arresting officer, WREG News Channel 3 reported.

When taken to the hospital for treatment, she revealed she has HIV.

X was stopped for her expired license plates when cops discovered that her driver’s license was suspended. She had no proof of insurance, either.

Officers said they also found marijuana, crack and cocaine inside her vehicle, according to The Commercial Appeal.

From its back seat, X banged on the police car, and asked to use the bathroom after being arrested. When cops opened the car door and told her she could visit the restroom later, she tried to run away—so they restrained her, lowering her to the ground. That’s when she sunk her teeth into the officer, police said.

Police said that the foul bite drew blood from the officer’s left arm. The officer was taken to the hospital where he was treated for exposure to HIV. He has since been released.

X faces a slew of charges and is due in court on Aug. 11. She’s being held in jail on a $50,000 bond.
